    A summer evening walk

Those of you who live in the British Isles or know anything about us, will know the British are obsessed with weather and whether we will get a 'summer'.......... at present the answer is probably not! Grey skies have abounded again this week and the photos here, taken in Sussex, usually one of the nicer weather places of the country, were taken with full warm weather gear on.

Full mizzle in Chichester harbour at 6pm

    A summer evening walk

By 8pm it was trying to brighten up

    A summer evening walk

C&C, thoughts for improvement, appreciated as usual

    Kaye,

If you are just documenting the weather perhaps color images would be convey the dreariness more. As presented, I would crop some of the sky in the first image and perhaps add a bit of contrast to the second. Nice efforts.

Nice well focused foreground gradually fading into the misty distance.

Maybe you could crop a fraction from the top and right side of the first scene. But only a little.

I like the lines in the first one the best. I also like the B&W. I think it contributes to the mood.

Thanks all for comments. John that is an interesting point you make...but for me dreary weather is grey and so these were definitely meant to be in B&W.

Here is the first again with the suggested crop

I like the edit of this one better...it is more stronger too and there! the drama of the disappearing scenes in the mist is really nice...
