    I just got the EF 50MM F1.4.

So far, it gives a nice shallow DOF and pretty good bokeh. The lens is super sharp for the price.

However, you really have to be ultra careful hand holding this, even at faster shutter speeds. With no IS, I find myself getting blurry photos with even the slightest handshake. I have to remember to keep it on a tripod.

I can't get over how sharp the lens is for the price. Having fun with it so far, but have a lot to learn yet. Chromatic Abberation is pretty bad. It mostly goes away around F2 or F2.2, which seems to be the sharpest point of the lens.

Can't wait to try a little low light photography.

    C&C welcome.

Bob...I like the way you say "My Boys"... they are great shots of them. It will be nice if you put a space between the two images at the top so they do not flow from one to the other when looking at them...thanks.

Keebler is a rescue dog also. Half basset. Half-pointer. He has two basset front feet that turn sideways when he standing there. He's a really good dog! Love him dearly!

We had a rescue dog once whom we thought had orthopedic problems until a friend came over and said - what a cute Basset mix puppy. His feet turned sideways the way Bassets do...

    LMAO!

It's funny...I've always wanted a Bassett, ever since I was a kid. I"m old enough to remember the Hush Puppy shoe commercials and logos with the Basset Hounds! So adorable!

Then we got Keebler who turned out to be a mix! He's such a cool dog! Everyone loves him!
