Congratulations on the 2000th Trevor. This is one that I have to say both work equally for me.
Trevor, nice photo, and conversion.

Both are excellent.....
Hi Trevor
Amazing scene, and amazing capture. It's well composed and have a great visual language I think. The only thing im not at big fan of, is those dark shadows in both the color and BW. But overall it's a great image
And btw congratulations on the 2000th
Happy 2000th.
As I've commented elsewhere, The B & W conversion on this, for me, lifts into a different league. The power and energy in that image is just tremendous. The processing is perfect - on the field, on the barn and, wow, on the sky.
I think it an absolutely outstanding image.
It is the clouds that makes this image strong for me. I can almost feel the rush of the impeding rain that ensues after...good composition!
Love the colour version - well spotted, nicely framed and superb processing.
Nicely done on both, I prefer the color but can appreciate the thought and effort that went into the mono version. I used to just convert and post, now I try to at least present an image using the zone system. Sometimes stretching the tones doesn't get me the right look I want but at least I can locate them using the zone panel in NIKs Silver Efex filter. But I have to be careful because my current printer can't handle gray transitions.
B&W is for people who can't manage colours..... but you have.
Congrats on the 2000th and the images Trevor I prefer the color image but they are both nice. May be I would brighten the barn just a bit in the B&W image if it was mine.
Congrats on your 2,000 Trevor.
I can't decide between the two either, both have merits, but impact me in different ways - odd considering it is the same moment in time that has been captured.
Cheers, Dave
