Really like this one, Lew. A nice composition and triangle formed by the two men and the clock. The tone of the inner part of the cups on the wall match the head gear of the men and the pictures go along with the theme of a break. The man on the left has a drink and a rather bored expression while the younger one is married to his phone. Seems like a break to me. Well seen.

I would rather have had entire clock face but camera was sitting on table and I set it off with my little finger because the guys were fairly aware of me.
This was a 28 mm equivalent (14 mm on m4/3) so I was very close to them, probably not more than 6 feet away.

Lew, did you use auto or zone focus and was the lighting difficult?

auto focus and lighting was a mix of daylight (from atrium right and overhead somethings)

The guy on right was in the sun and the guy on left in relative dark.
I overexposed because of his dark face in the shadow and ended up with the jackets too bright but there was no opportunity to fix the ec and reshoot. This was one and done so I had to take what I got.

Thanks, Lew, I appreciate the information. I noticed the brightness on the jackets but it doesn't bother me. I just like to know what other folks do in these kinds of situations, because I come across lighting scenarios like this a lot, and it's beneficial to find out what others do.

Very nice and well seen / processed, I like the partial clock - personally I feel if it was complete it would not work so well in the overall image. I would have cropped the rh edge off to remove the white ' frame' item - but thats it. Cool.

At this point, I can't tell if I like it because I took it or because it actually has a bit of merit.

Altho I would rather have less light on the jackets, the brightess does imply the situation, as does the bits of table top in the foreground and the intervening table top. They all set the scene as I remember it- altho that may be post hoc rationalization.

Nice shot Lew, I have to disagree about the clock - I think it would of been better with the complete clock in, but still very nice

Really good shot. Has feel, and tells a story.
My only nitpick is the distracting table top especially at bottom right. However, understanding the circumstances under which the shot was I realize there wasn't much you could have done to eliminate it.
