Great Blue Heron

I took this photo of a great blue heron last weekend along the Illinois & Michigan Canal. The canal isn't very wide, and the banks on both sides are largely overgrown with brush and other obstructions that get in the way of composing and framing photos.

I know the crop is quite extensive, and there are some blown highlights on the bird's head. I don't enjoy post-processing images, but I did the best I could. If you have and C&C to offer, I'd appreciate receiving it.

Thanks, Nandakumar. I like to watch them fly with both their long necks and long legs outstretched, and their wings flapping almost silently.
