The Mumbuca Village - Golden grass handicraft - Jalapao

Hi. I am sharing some images of the Mumbuca Village. This is where the Golden grass handicraft art was born. The people are a blend of native indians with slaves brought from Africa, fugitives from the farms. It is incredible what they do with the golden grass. From earrings and rings to kitchen devices, you can find anything in the village's small handicraft shop. C&C welcomed. Thank you for viewing.

#2 - A typical family house of the villagers


#3 - A Quilombola, one of the estimated 1000 villagers that live there. She said me she had the chance to meet the first guy that came up with the golden grass ideas.

This shots are also along the regions of Jalapao, Otavio? I have a set of earrings/necklace that were made of Golden Grass. They are beautiful. You should've taken more images of the products...just a thought...

Hi Otavio Thanks for sharing those beautiful images. I love the second image and the products look really nice in the last one.I can't figure out the tilted look of the door although it looks levelled at the bottom

Our friends from Florida travels a lot along your way...his wife gifted it to me along with some bowls and stuffs made of the same materials. We are going on a short trip with them next month...I don't know where yet.
