Brilliant!!
I spy with my little eye . . SU carb, Lucas 3-coil regulator, F700 headlamps, nostalge, nostalge, . .
I had a '53 with the split-windscreen and the miserable 748cc engine - soon pulled that out, I'll tell ya . .
Nicely captured.
I used to drive the van version of the Morris in the mid-seventies, when I worked for the national telephone company. Nostalgia indeed.
btw - You missed the wiper motor Ted
Only crit on the photo would be the unfortunate (attention grabbing) colour of the red car.
awesome shot - to me thats a grand image that is what street / journalist photography is about - it tells a real story in the image itself and your interaction with the gentleman make it fully.
Excellent photo, and being of a certain age brings back memories too. I never had one, but my mate did. It was always affectionately "the hunch".
Did they have the vacuum operated wipers? Can't remember.
Dave
Good work
Your processing really matches the scene too.
Matt, a good story of a man proud to show off his car. His presence really makes the shot.
Sergio
Thanks for the comments everyone
I'm not a fan of the Morris Minor (thank Top Gear), but that's a great shot. The car looks great, and the gent looks full of stories.

Snap, me too Dave, do you remember the headlights dip switch was floor mounted. I still have a dinky version of a Gods Poor Orphans Green Morris minor van on my desk.
Thanks for resurrecting the memories with your image of this one Matt, the owners is obviously proud of the vehicle.
Best Regards
Peter
Now you mention it Peter, I do indeed.
Did you ever have a half shaft break while trying to pull out of a junction?
It happened when I was a passenger once, bit scary, but there was room for us to clear the scene of a potential accident, via momentum and the other driver being awake (at least they weren't texting in those days!)
Never had any issues with them apart from the aforementioned dip switch, late at night on my way home during a project to convert the old push button A coin boxes. I caught the wiring to it and lost the lights in the middle of the North York moors, it gave me quite a turn. Marvellous what you can repair with a pair of 81's

Ah the blessed, simple days when one could repair one's car with screwdrivers, spanners (wrenches) and some wire or duct tape. These days one has to have a diagnostic computer that only a garage can afford and everything is an extremely expensive replacement part.
I used to drive various marks of Morris Minors and Minor 1000's, later I used to drive a Hyundai Pony that was a good one too...
