    Barcelona: Traditional Architecture

Five photos of Barcelona's traditional architecture, which is ironic considering that we went to Barcelona only because we wanted to see Gaudi's architecture. Several are in light that is considerably less than ideal. The first photo was captured by my wife and post-processed by me.

It looks like you had a great trip!

We had a somewhat similar expectation when we went to Barcelona. Seeing Gaudi's work was very high on our "to do" list, but the rest of the city offered so much other history, it was quite wonderful too. I think the highlight of our trip was the maritime museum, in the former Royal Shipyards and we ended up going there simply because of bad weather and wanted to do something indoors.

Nice shots Mike, well captured and processed. I like the perfect symmetry of Photo 5.

Barcelona is a fascinating place with a lot more to offer than just Gaudi's architecture IMO. To be frank, I was a little dis-appointed in La Sagrada Familia's exterior but it is magnificent inside.
