I have discovered that by mid morning my South East facing bay window provides an excellent source of diffused light for backlighting flowers.

I must be missing something here…your shot is very pretty, that I can grant but I think I need my eyes check if I go with others and agree with you that this is a pink rose. It looks more orange on my monitor…

If the outer petals look orange to you then your monitor or your eyes need calibrating On the other hand, the dark centre of the flower does appear to have a slight orange tinge caused by the light coming from the back and filtering through the flower.

A beautiful shade of pink on my screen, Andre. A slight loss of detail/structure in the white near some of the edges but, nevertheless, a lovely image. I think I prefer the balance of your original.
