I've chosen a vertical Golden Ratio crop available in Photoshop, but a lot of Topaz processing to get the statue to stand out.

I almost missed the statue hiding in the long grass and wanted to show the wildness Andre, also the guides for Golden Ratio fit almost perfectly.
Is it not suffering from camera move or something? it disturbs eye a bit, I feel
Nice effort.
Probably just the grass Nandakumar, but camera shake is possible since it 1/200 sec at 200mm on 1.6 camera.
Cheers John.
To quote my composition course professor. "The rules of composition work, except when they don't".
This seems to be one of those cases. The statue is far too close to the bottom and left edge of the frame and all of the negative space to the right and on the top do not help the image either. Some framings with these rules can strengthen the compositions, but quite often they don't work.
Yes OK Manfred, it could benefit from being moved up 30 degrees a small bit. I will get onto it although in this case I cropped first meaning I have to do it all again, I saved the 16 bit psd after cropping then worked on it.
It might be a bit over sharpen.
Square crop seems to work best for me.
Cheers Dem
