Very nice; the colours are very smooth and pleasing. The color scheme is really working

Ziggy, my camera's mirror locked up. I was doing a focusing stack when it happened. I brought it to the nearest camera store and they sent it to Nikon. The lady said 6-8 weeks before I get it back. Hopefully it will be back before we go to Alaska on September with some friends. I have my point and shoot but it is not the same. I am having a CWS (camera withdrawal syndrome.) I am missing my beast.

That sucks. Wow Alaska, nice. Are you doing a cruise, land trip are a combination of both?

    Re: Hosta Bloom

I have been a long Nikon user since films and never had any problem at all apart from my ignorance of using it. Now I am using this camera extensively, never bumped it, been very careful, never lend it to anyone and it happened. I should have looked for a solution or ask CiC members but I opted to send it for repairs instead. Then when I got home, I found a solution…clean my contacts, both the camera and the lenses. I never had to do that before…and I have owned other Nikons longer than this one. Asking questions to CiC or any other forums might take a little bit of time whereas sending it back to Nikon for repairs at least I know I will be ahead.

As for Alaska or any other trips they are planning, my only request is for a short trip, no more than a week, less if possible. And it has to be well-spaced. We are off to Iowa next week to pick up another plane and bring it to Sacramento. I like trips like this, short sweet and money in our pockets. The Alaska one is a break ... hopefully not too long.

This image is so nice that I decided to take an approach to viewing it that is not at all my typical approach: I tried to find something I didn't like about it. I found nothing.
