Nice series, good panning on first one.
Hi Sergio.
These are nice and sharp with good colour and focus. I particularly like the fact that you put 'Nice Lady' at the end, as it provides a great counterpoint to the "cool" people on their big bikes. In China, one rarely sees motorcycles of this cubic capacity. "Biker" culture is generally rooted in the need for cheap transport. Even the police run around on 125cc machines.
As a side-note, do you feel that riding a Harley is still seen as a "countercultural statement" in The US? There are Harley Davidson dealership in China, but they are of course extremely expensive machines here and everytime I remember seeing one, it was being ridden by a Westerner. I get the feeling that once one can afford one in China, one has been locked into the whole "business" mindset. The "cool" machine seems to be a black Audi or BMW and the uberwealthy kids tend to go for a Lamborghini or Ferrari. Last week I was walking around Xintiandi and for some unexplained reason, there were about 10 supercars parked-up. No promotional girls, no salesmen, just tens of millions of RMB in horsepower, including a McLaren and a Mercedes 6-wheel G-Wagon, which is extremely rare and about a million quid in SH due to import tax.

Thanks, John. I appreciate that.
Simon, no reason to take it down. I can see why you would like it that way; it works. Thanks for taking the time to edit.
Thanks, Steve. Personally I don't see riding a Harley being as much of a "countercultural statement" as it probably was in the mid twentieth century. I see a lot of middle aged folks riding them around here. Maybe it's wanting to relive their youth or something they've always wanted to do. I think it's cool. You have to try and live your dream, whatever that may be. I used to own a bike (Yamaha, not a Harley). I had a great time on it.
I know next to nothing about China, so I appreciate your personal insight about some of the goings on there.
Sergio
Sergio -- cool images. Not as elaborate but I used to have a Harley before I got married. I only have a Roadster, nothing fancy, but I love it. We have a Yamaha in the garage, not mine. The best here is the lady -- she is so sweet.
Good set Sergio, especially the pan.
I can just imagine you on a Harley, Izzie. I hope it was a good time for you as it was for me.
She really was sweet. Talked us up for quite a while. Told us about events happening that day and places we might want to see. There are a lot of interesting people out there to meet.
Thanks for commenting.
Thank you, Grahame. I need to try panning again. I haven't done that in a while.
