Hello Maurice, and a warm welcome to CiC - and what a cracking start! I like your composition and treatment very much.

For me, if you take a diagonal from bottom left to top right then I think the upper half is a little over-exposed. Let's see what some others think.

Nicely done, the WA effect just pushes my gaze out towards the horizon.

WOW and Welcome...this is an extremely pleasing shot.... everybody would love to take that boat and drive into the lake which very much resembles some of the backwter lands of Kerala

Nice image Maurice - good authentic colour representation and great composition. Like Dave, I'd probably choose to reduce the highlights away from the boat if it were mine - a radial filter around the boat with a big feather, and then reduce the exposure of the rest of the image by roughly two-thirds of a stop. But nothing wrong with what you have, it's just my style if processing I guess.

I find that only about 1/2 inch (12.5mm) of sky is necessary to allow the river to recede and about 1/3 less to the left works the eye to the boat and not to the overall scene, though while necessary is really just a minor element to the overall effect or mood.

I have an edit if you would like to see it.

I love that boat and would dearly love to own it.
