Fortune favours the prepared
And not the obtuse and distracted.
I saw opportunity and set up, even took two trial shots to assess the focus and exposure. I just failed to notice I had not set the camera back to manual focus.
So when the sun got into perfect position I pressed the shutter to make the mirror lockup. Only to watch and hear the camera searching for focus . I scrambled to get the focus set and set up again. What do you think the odds are that I forget to set the camera to manual focus?
This shot was done as the last rays of the sun vanished. Not the glorious shot of the entire field back lit I was aiming for.

Re: Fortune favours the prepared
Could do with a bit more clarity, nice effort.
