    Nice shot Brian, but I'd definitely crop the right hand side to exclude those three bright, sharp leaves on the adjacent stem, if it were mine.

    I did try it that way. But to my eyes it became too rectangular. plus I like how the pink and green set each other off. Perhaps a toning down ?

    The first thing I too felt was the distraction by the stem on the right side, especially since it is half-dead. Yes, cutting that part away would make the frame more squarish; how about a vertical/portrait mode?

    Maybe a mix of crop and clone, then take a similar amount from the top?

    Perhaps, with a bit of blur too, so it is more obviously intended to be complementary to the main subject, not competing with it by being so sharp.

    Although if that were the aim, I'd have framed to include all the pale green leaf that is exiting frame on the right.
