    Cezar

This is Cezar. He's one of the K9s I followed thru class last summer/fall. This image was created last month. My husband and I donated body armor to him recently in memory of my brother. When we made the donation, our only requirement was that it go to to a K9 in the State Police. When I found out that Cezar was going to be the recipient, I was so very moved as he has always been one of my favorites.

This is a beautiful shot, but what is even more beautiful is the memorial to your brother. Very touching.

This is a beautiful portrait and touches me personally. What a wonderful tribute to your brother. Was he a canine officer? I obtained the grant funds and managed the implementation for the first canine program for the PD that I worked for back in the 80's. It was amazing to watch the teams work. What a special bond between officer and dog. This one looks ready to do whatever his trainer asks.

    Terri,

Just in case you missed Kim's series of K9 teams during your absence, it would be well worth your while to find them, especially noting your connection with K9s in the 80s. All of them are just wonderful.

Hi Terri. No, he was a State Trooper, but he started my love of the K9s by getting me in one day to photograph them...and it grew from there. I know getting grants is a difficult task, but it must have been worth it to see the various teams work. The bond is indeed special. Thank you for your comment.
