    Re: Headland

You have a good eye for seeing the scene but between the eye and the final product there has to be some kind of action taking place to work with the tonal and contrast range to show the viewer what your eye actually saw or, that you want them to see.

What I, the viewer am seeing is a nice pastoral scene that is nice but rather ho-hum. As a viewer, I want more.

In this instance, and I do not know what program you are using for your post production, all that is needed is a slight contrast boost (I did it in Photoshop, using a Curves Adjustment pulling the bottom quadrant down just a tush) and with a HSB Adjustment where I knocked the intensity of the yellows down a bit as they were over-heightened by the contrast shift. I am sure there is a program out there that will mimic PS or LR like GIMP or PhotoPaint if these tools are not in your lineup.

Remove some of the foreground and concentrate on the structure. Nicely exposed.

Alternatively, keep the foreground and lose a little of the sky. Either option would help to concentrate on the buildings.

I simply increased the structure globally by 25% using NIK Viveza...

This looks like a prime candidate for b&w to me. (This is just quick and 'dirty', there is plenty of scope to finesse it but this gives you an idea.)

I prefer Greg's edit...I would have suggested that in colour too because of the beautiful clouds...
