Nicely done.
Fine capture. I am old enough to remember the Buckhorn Saloon when it was actually a saloon first, serving beer and a museum secondly...
I wonder if this guy is a "real" cowboy or a checker at the local supermarket dressed up?
BTW: There is an excellent Texas Ranger Museum in Waco Texas that is a wonderful place to visit for anyone who is interested in the history of the American West. http://www.texasranger.org/
Another interesting aspect of Western Americans is the various styles of cowboy hats and the ways in which they are (or have been) worn. http://nationalcowboymuseum.org/expl...he-cowboy-hat/
What kind of hat do I wear? An Aussie Stockman's Akubra of course

A lot of hat and no cattle!
Thank you, John.
Thank you, Richard.
From my understanding The Buckhorn has relocated a few times to it's present location on Houston St.
Personally it doesn't matter to me if he's a real cowboy or not. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood were not real cowboys, but I sure enjoy their movies.
I have been to the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco. Very interesting.
I like the hat you wear. I want one.
Thank you, Denny.
Actually, he had just finished a cattle drive and was unwinding at the Saloon.

The reason I made the comment about "real cowboy" or not, was that his hands look pretty clean; without the wear and tear that I associate with cowboy work...
