    Something else completely different

We looked out of our bedroom window the other day and saw a pale patch on our lawn. On close inspection it turned out to be a patch of fungal hyphae with spore capsules atop each thread. The entire patch was around 12cm across, and the erect hyphal threads about 2cm tall. I took this as a series of ten shots and used Zerene Stacker to merge them. This produced two output files neither of which looked optimal, so I merged them using Overlay.
    Something else completely different

The pale patch to the upper right is a horizontal mat of hyphae which, from above, have a silvery appearance. Unfortunately it did not get included in the field for focus stacking.

This image is something quite unlike anything else I have taken and, indeed, is quite unlike anything I have ever seen on CiC. Comment and criticsm welcome.

Whatever be the cause the green colour, the slender lines and the dot-like seeds together give rise to a randomised beautiful design.
