Different Dragon Perch - C&C Welcome

My guess a stinker but would like some feedback.

Not as good as your usual standard Jim, but 'stinker' is an overstatement (unless that's a new breed I've not heard of before).

Here's why it doesn't work for me:
Basic composition; I'd have framed with more space 'in front' than 'behind' the dragonfly, so I'd crop more off the left hand side, but I note that there's an unfortunate combination of pod spacings and stems that don't make this viable
Looks a tad over exposed which may have lost colour and detail in the body of dragonfly (I'd like to have seen the critter bigger)
Can't see the bottom of any of the pods (what are they?)
There's like a 'shadow' of the horizontal branch on the background, or it may be a weird PP artefact

If you hadn't asked, I wouldn't have said anything here, so I hope this is helpful.

    Cheers, Dave

I'm thinking along the same lines as Dave. Crop off the left hand pod and go square. Or, because we can't see the tips of the pods anyway, why not take a bit from the bottom as well and go with something like 5 x 4 ratio?

Then slightly tone down the highlights.

    Certainly a keeper.

A bit soft but nice. I would edit to emphasize the shapes and patterns.
