I'm old enough to still get blown away by the notion that here I am on the north-western fringes of Europe and I'm looking at pictures that were taken in Johannesburg just a very short time ago. Technology has indeed come a very long way in my lifetime.

    Anyway ..........................

Lovely images. The play of light on the fountain and on the water in the last one is beautiful. Overall, the light is gorgeous.

Great shots Neil, each composition adds something useful and are generally* well processed.

    * Unfortunately (in the interests of enabling you to get the maximum quality from your shots) I have to jump on my 'hobby horse' and say they would be even better without the uncorrected lateral Chromatic Aberration (CA).

It is there in all, I'm sure, but check out (at 100%) the 'wheel arches' of the cars at both left and right sides of image #2, see how they have red/green edges fore and aft? That's CA - but it is easily fixable in LR6, just find/expand the Lens Corrections panel, click to see the 'Color' tab and there's a check box which may fix it with one click, or you can use the manual controls for amounts and colour ranges affected.

Here are a couple of YouTube videos on how to deal with it, they relate to ACR, but the controls will work the same way in LR.

Blake Rudis; f64 academy: Chromatic Aberration Reduction in Photoshop = 4:12

Klaus Herrmann; Farbspiel Photography How to Remove Chromatic Aberration in Adobe Camera Raw = 18:36

    Hope that helps, Dave

Nice, I like those lower angles as they really bring out the dynamics of the structure.

I really enjoy these images as you directed the viewer to the centre of the fountain through zoomed in stages....

Lovely images; especially the close ups.
