    Birds on a string

These are the last of them. I hang my feeders on a line so i can slide them up and down to get the best light and background. They will often land within a few feet of me.

3, 4, and 5 get my vote, not that there is anything too shabby about 1 & 2 but the last 3 are pretty special. I'll miss these guys. Are they migrating or have you just decided to take a break.

Thanks wendy, the parents have already started migrating. The young are the only one's left now. I could keep shooting for awhile longer, but it's time to switch to something else. The bucks have dropped their velvet and i think i'm going to make a few trips to ohio and try my luck with them.

That last one is my favourite, I love the pose! The shimmering green on his/her back (?) certainly helps matters, what a beautiful bird.

    These are great Steve,

I don't think I can do better than echo Wendy's choice of favourites and sentiments.

    So, Deer next is it?
