    Water dog

I really wasn't sure what to do with this image. Taken in very harsh light using a polarizer there were just so many hot reflections both off the water and from the wet jet black hair. Since all those small hot spots were there to stay I decided to go with monochrome and a slightly course look. It's different but growing on me.

This works well for me; nice detail and happy look on the dog's face. I hope you gave the subject a well-deserved treat.

Works for me too…I was thinking, would it have better if you had used an ND filter instead of a polarizer? I would have taken a shot of this beautiful animal after it came out of the water and shaking the water off him…now that would have been fun!!!
