Nicely captured Chris... Just wondering if a little bit of vignetting around the edges will help focus more attention on the surfer?

It does look like it didn't end well. We'll timed and captured.

I used to be fit once, even tried surfing but there is only so much ocean I can drink. Nice image, at least he can stand on his board.

Great capture at the precise moment.

I experimented with NIK Viveza and globally increased the structure about 35% which makes the surfer stand out from the water a bit more...

I never vignette. And I am sure Viveza would do as suggested but when I am shooting surfers or kiteboarders, I try to get my exposure as close to dead on as possible so I can do one global edit in ACR and then just crop and save in PS. On any given surfing day, I will shoot upward of a 1,000 frames which doesn't leave much time for the fun stuff :-)
