Nice to be held - for this reason!

Snow White is a 2-year old purebred Maltese Female who was turned in to a Central California animal shelter because she needed extensive ear surgery and her family could not afford the vet care

Nice to be held - for this reason!

We heard about Snow and rescued her from the shelter on the day before she was going to be euthanized. We brought her down to our San Diego County vet and Snow went in for surgery this morning

Nice to be held - for this reason!

It was a lot nicer for Snow to be held by beautiful Megan of Pearson's Animal Hospital, on her way to life saving surgery, than to have been held on her way to a deadly needle in a Central California Shelter

    Snow White after surgery

Surgery went very well. She is in some pain but, we are giving her prescribed pain meds as well as antibiotics...

Nice to be held - for this reason!

The surgical procedure was Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA).

She will be deaf in that ear but her hearing will be fine in the other ear...

As an added bonus... One of the veterinary technicians from the vet hospital wants to adopt Snow!

Lucky for both of them...Snow has a pretty disposition and a very pretty smile. I have not seen a small dog that has this particular smile (#2 image with Megan) and almost regal look (#1 image). She almost resemble Megan already.
