Surprising end to a rainy day

I live in a town (technically a city, but it's a town) notorious for its eccentric weather. The town supposedly lies at the convergence point of four climactic zones. I live only 3km from my office, but there have been days I've set off to work on my scooter on a balmy summers day and arrived soaking wet. These pics are an example of the opposite: completely overcast and drizzly, then a rainbow appeared (posted a pic of that in a previous thread), and then in the space of about 10 minutes the clouds scattered. Took these in the street in front of my house.

Thanks, John. Yes, an outdoors trip is always going to require some luck, but luckily our braai (BBQ) area is covered so we're impervious to almost anything except a strong south-westerly.

I like the simplicity of your images. Such minimalism is quite artistic.
