    Walk the line

    Walk the line

I haven't posted in a while, as my pictures seem to be moving away from the general style preferred here (although I know a good picture is a good picture and you all appreciate that too). Still, I picked up a fish eye lens at the weekend and so I'm showing an early effort in a good space for this sort of lens.

I'm looking to show movement and grit here. Comments welcome.

Taken with an EM-1 and Samyang 7.5mm.

    I like it.

It is, as you write, about knowing when to use that lens. This is an example of where it works to great effect. A beautifully conceived idea and wonderfully well executed.

    Re: Walk the line

    Thanks both.

Donald - I've gone a bit crazy with the fish-eye today, just because I've not tried it before. I've learnt a lot just by shooting with it in different circumstances (I've been out all day with the camera) but it's fair to say I've got it wrong more often than right. Still, it's a lot of fun to use. The M43 fisheye is so small that I kept finding my finger in the shot!

Simon, never used a fish eye, like the effect. Nicely done, keep up the good work

    Excellent shot Simon,

I was wondering how you'd timed it to get them to pass like that until the penny dropped that if you're in the middle of the path they have to pass either side - and I assume they were together when approaching you.

Even if they heard the shutter, they probably didn't think they were in the shot!

    Cheers, Dave

    PS
    I'm shooting Chloe tomorrow.
