An evening at the lake in B&W

Yep, I am at it again. I really was hoping for some nice color in the sky last night but it just wasn't to be. So I shifted my thoughts to B&W and a longer exposure.

Here are a couple...for your thoughts

    1. An evening at the lake in B&W

2.An evening at the lake in B&W
I prefer the second over the first

Nice serene scenes, Jon. I would crop about half the foreground from each image. The water is fairly plain and there is more interest in the clouds.

I prefer the 2nd shot for its compositional elements, but the top of the posts at the end of the jetty are lost in the background. They need to be separated. I realise that might not have been possible unless you could move to higher ground or grow a few feet taller.

Thanks Greg. I cropped and posted the revised shot. I like it better.
