    Dave,

Thanks for the kind words.I owe a great deal to you people.I wouldn't be at the level I am,at this point in time, without the help and guidence I have recieved here.
You haven't seen me post any landscapes. There's a good reason for that, but my plan for the fall is to concentrate on learning.
    I'm a terrible golfer!My best round on a 72 par course is 112.

    Steve,

    What's a roller?
I'm not a competent mechanic, but I did help my dad rebuild a couple motors when I was a kid.It was fun,but frustrating at times.
There weren't many jags at the show. The only shot I took.

    Okay,got it.
I thought the Bugatti Veyron held that position.
I watched an hour show on it the other night...WOW! If I only had an extra $1.7m laying around.

Was that the old 1001HP version or the new 1200HP version?

    Re: My 1st Auto Show

I saw a Ferrari the other day in Derby; must have been driven by a footballer since even though he had a little girl in the next seat, he insisted on doing a wheel spin.

My mums next door neighbour had a Ferrari, she used to live in a big house and I explained that I can understand how he managed to afford a £250,000 car when my dad did his garden for free.

My school friends dad had a very old Rolls Royce which was red with big red wheels and a brand new one he used to get him to work in the City over a hundred miles from where he lived which is now a school I think.

The teacher had lots of cars, all restored old ones including a Jaguar racing car with only one seat and an E-type which was my favourite when I was a kid.

I never had any money but everybody around me has loads of it. The Bugatti Veyron is a bit on the fast side for British roads, I never actually fancied fast just fast acceleration and the fastest acceleration was experienced in a test car drive I did in a Rover SD1 rally car, but I got a job parking HGV's at an auction one week and got to drive a Japanese job straight out the front gate and was most impressed; I think it was a Mitsubishi but I'm not sure, anyway I managed to get to drive it despite being there to park the big stuff.

They're called "Paddle Shifts" - same as F1 cars.

If you'd like a bit more fun -- he's Michael Schumacher in his personal FXX lowering the Top Gear lap record from 1:17.1 to 1:10.7
