Hi Nass,
Don't see how we can tell from this, it is really a bit too small to judge sharpness, it doesn't look soft, but it might stand a little more sharpening after the downsize.
I haven't looked at it with a histogram, but I wouldn't say this looks under-exposed either, but what it was like before PP I don't know.
Cheers,

Very, very nice portraits.
I wouldn't know about the softness (too dependent on sharpening and size) but exposure looks correct to me (judging from the bill).
Looking at the histograms, the white owl might actually do with a slight lowering of the white point (about 10 points), the eagle owl seems to be slightly overexposed if anything.
But you are the one that has seen the birds

Hi Remco
Thanking you for your compliment. As you say the Spotted Flycatcher may not be spectacular to look at,however they are great to watch as they dart about in pursuit of flying insects. I had pure luck to get the shot.
Thanks again Best Wishes

This is Great Bower Bird from Northern Australia. He builds this intricate nest and decorates it with pebbles and other object d'art, preferably of a greenish colour. The purpose of all this hard work is to attract a mate. The females of the species are very picky and will not entertain a male unless his bower meets her favourable approval.

They never pose the way you want. Nice effort.
