Not different around here Your rider is working very hard to communicate with her horse. Are they coming down the centre line at this point in the test? The black and white treatment adds to the elegance of the scene.

Nice shot Thierry,
Me being me, I would clone out the lampstand though, and also the confused blobs under the horse's head to make a 'cleaner' image.
Thanks for your visit of the thread dave and Myra.
Dave I reviewed the pictures according your suggestion. As you said it looks like cleaner
Hi Thierry,
Thanks; it is beginning to look quite 'period' now, if you know what I mean.
At least it does to my largely untrained eye that wouldn't know a piece of modern (vs period) tack if I tripped over it, as I frequently do - I must have a word with my daughter about that, the hallway at home is no place to leave tack lying around.
I guess the period look is mainly due to the dressage 'uniform' competitors wear.
Cheers,
Hi dave
I'm not ure ton understand what you mean by period. do you mean that the bulb gave a modern style with a picture looking like old style due to the dress of the rider ?
cheers
I love this image, especially after the bit of post processing. I am wondering what you would think of cropping/cloning out the two persons sitting on the bench at the left of the print?
Hi Richard,
Your suggestion is of interest. i will try to match it but I am not a toshop expert and this modification is perhaps out of my capabilities with this software.
To summarize : "try and see"
Wendy
Personally, I would not clone out the spectators as in the most recent effort. They "tell the story" as it were. I do like the 2nd iteration better than the original post. Well done.

I haven't seen the Needle in 30 years or so. I live about 250+ miles East of there and have a habit of NOT visiting the City. I agree that it is impressive, however.

Not to be sorry, sir. I've lived in small communities, large cities, rural ranches and have made my choice based on experience. I agree that there are manny beautiful places in this state, but I am quite happy over here in the desert.

I can see that the suggestions of the members of CiC made you improve your shot Thierry.
It's very neat and clear now. It's a very nice image indeed
