A great butterfly collection. But unless I'm much mistaken (and I usually am, ask the Boss ) that Painted Lady is a small tortoiseshell

Dicky - I think that you are correct. I took the ID from here (http://www.rampantscotland.com/butterflies/index.htm) and as Murphy's Law has it, things that are obvious usually aren't
