Hi Carol I think there is some blue color cast on their skin which needs fixing. I don't know which software you use but your masking doesn't look smooth on the edges of faces and there are also some grey parts in the BG.
I think that's a great composition. You've got in tight and you've got yourself into a location that allows you get those different angles on the two people. Well done.
I think Binnur's point about the blue cast may be correct. Not sure what your post-processing skills are like on correcting things like this. Pretty easily done.
I'm not seeing the masking problems that Binnur is seeing, nor the grey bits in the background.
Great idea for a portrait. It works well.

Thank you Binnur and Donald. I used picknix no longer available now. I wish I could correct this. No PP skills
Well done Carol, to see and capture them together in the frame this way.
Good composition, Carol, and well done for seeing it. There are some minor exposure issues with blown highlights but if you don't have the software to fix it, there's no point worrying about it.
Hi Carol,
I'm afraid I'm not a fan of matte black backgrounds in the two shots we've seen them (sorry, I know it isn't easy).
It has a place; typically in advertising or product shots - although in your Mercedes image, it was cropped a bit tight and the reflections were a giveaway.
I wonder if the treatment Jean has applied in this thread might be useful sometimes? (particularly for the above shot)
As has been noted, the composition is great here though - that is key - it is easier to learn and improve on the technicalities of good WB (white balance), exposure and PP than it is to 'learn' good composition, so please don't be discouraged.
Dave
Well done Carol and very well done to Richard.
Thank you so much Richard et al I feel very encouraged
