During my visit to the State Fair, I meandered to the 4-H goat judging. I found a good spot between two middle-aged women. It turned out that they had children in the competition.
This poor kid was having a devil of a time getting control of his goat. Mom to the left of me was shouting instructions..."choke up on him!!!!!"...."You're giving him too much lead". A soccer mom has nothing over a 4-H mom
The judge was putting them through the paces. About this time I noticed a girl moving around the perimeter in a wheel chair. I asked the woman on my right (I was sorta afraid of the woman on my left), what the story was.
She replied that both of her daughters were showing a goat, the oldest was confined to the wheel chair and the youngest had taken responsibility to show her goat. The judge quickly began narrowing the field, the lad that was having difficulty was amongst those passed over.
The sisters learn that they are in the final three
Final two......
The moment they learn that they win the Blue Ribbon at the Minnesota State fair!!!!
Still a bit in shock, I think. I can only imagine the pride of accomplishment the eldest was feeling as her goat won.
This is how memories are made between siblings.
