    Nice and sharp and not too big Brian

    The most significant issue is where the black antennae have merged in to the background tones of the image, but unless your subject was quite accommodating, I doubt there's much that could be done.

    The only other things I would do to this, if mine would be;
    Clone out the green leaf peeping in to lower left corner
    Use a subtle blur brush on a few of the contrasty and sharp leaf edges, so they don't compete with the subject

    HTH, Dave

    didn't notice the leaf. didn't think about the air brush. Think I'll go do a bit more work.

    Brian, I would agree with Dave on this one but better than anything I ever shot.

    Dave is an excellent mentor. Which is why version 2 graces this thread.

    If Ireland has a fault it may be a lack of bamboo fences which really enhance this type of shot.

    That's better Brian (bigger too),

    I see you even dealt (very well) with a couple of specular reflections off the leaves adjacent to the butterfly.

    You make a good student too

    Although it seems incongruous calling you that as I'm sure you're older than me - but hey; "you're never to old to learn" - which should be a CiC motto.

    Bigger? Once i started softening cloning seemed a natural. I turn 65 this month. I am someone who enjoys occasional forays into education. Nowadays almost all my teachers are younger.
