Night Shots

...just for fun. I've been following a few tutorials on editing night shots and most seem to want to bring the images to light. What are your methods for editing night shots? Both handheld: ISO 1250, 1/15 and 1/60sec, f/4 and f5.6.

I say why ruin a good image of a night scene or a stage scene by trying to illuminate it completely - kills all the mood.
Proper processing such as you have shown here is what I much prefer.
