When I was a child, we were taught that song in school in the USA. I now wonder how/why that ever came to be? And though I still know it by heart, I never had any notion as to the meaning of the words (nor even that a kookaburra was a bird) until I visited Oz the first time.
No, he didn't offer you a very good angle did he?
