Marie Curie COLORIZATION

Hi Everybody,

Yesterday when I was going through all the colorization's I've submitted on here I noticed that I've never done a Marie Curie colorization. Since my ancestry is Polish/Ukrainian I figured it would be a good idea to colorize a famous Polish scientist. Who better than Marie Curie? Enjoy!

I do all my colors as layers with masks applied in Photoshop. None of my coloring alters the photos in any way so it can be viewed as "non-destructive editing." The spot you're seeing is most likely due to the age of the photo when it was scanned by whomever scanned it. I have spots like that on scans I've done of my grandparents photos too. I think humidity causes it after years of sitting on a shelf/box etc.

This coloring took me an hour to do. I have a whole process planned out now so that I can get the colors I use most often quickly and apply to the layers I already have setup ahead of time with the correct modes etc. Some colorization's take me a few days while others, like portraits with minimal backgrounds, can take as low as a half hour. Lol, yeah the glowing comments are pretty big on Reddit Colorization with this at the moment too.

Thanks for the compliment. With colorization its about mixing colors by using base layers and then low flow rate colors from there. Once you've figured out the colors you see in other peoples skin and start applying them in photoshop you'll learn what works and what doesn't. The trick is to start with a base color and work your way up from there until you achieve a realistic color pattern in the skin etc.
