John, the figures in the background ate distracting, in awkward positions. However, they would be quite difficult to get rid of. I tried content aware fill with no success.
John, you get to interesting places and meet more interesting people. Love the shot.
This one was shot at f/3.5, the models were part of an art installation; they would pose for fifteen minutes and then move on. I arrived at the last minute so only got about five shots in; then the selfie photographers converged upon the models. Less dramatic poses, yet less distracting backgrounds; I still chose to leave as captured; with only a few spots cloned out.

You have to take what you can get given the circumstances, especially since you don't know if the scene is going to dissolve before you get a chance to change settings. Take the shot and if time permits, change, and then shoot again, as you did here.
I actually like the original. It's kind of quirky and comical with the person in between the legs of the girl on the left.
Good, clear shots, John.

Love 'em both John. Well done.
Very interesting models John. I like the shots. The first image seems more energetic to me although there are some distractions.I find the light and the BG better in the second image
