B-W conversion

Just looking for opinions on this conversion. I also added white vignetting which I've never used before. I'm still on the fence as to whether I think it works or not.

To me it looks better close-up, the tones and detail are more interesting. For the entire composition I'd crop some of the foreground. Nice processing.

Very nice conversion! Consider cropping at both the top and bottom to create an image in the panoramic style.

A negative vignette works best for me if it appears to be of equal strength on all four sides. This one is far stronger on the right side than the rest and it doesn't matter what the reason is even if it is perfectly understandable. If you make it of equal strength on all four sides, I think it will work well. On the other hand, that would also be true for me about a traditional dark vignette.

The image looks oversharpened to me with some halos, but I don't know if I'm the only one who sees them Otherwise it is a nice image and some cropping from the bottom (and may be some from the top) might work fine

I see halos only on the bottom rear of the front tire and the top rear of the rear tire, with a very slight halo at the top of the distant mountains in the background.

I have only a lousy monitor where I am now, but I think I see halos too, e.g., on the top edge of the nose of the front plane and along the arm of the fellow on the left. May just be my equipment. Apart from halos, the center of the image just feels a bit crunchy and oversharpened to me.

I forgot to mention that. Completely agreed. Not horribly overly sharpened but still overly sharpened.
