    Interesting capture John,

    Was the weather warm?
Is this natural behaviour, or a capture from a film/video production?
    So many questions

The person in the background and their complementary 'poses' really makes this shot, good timing.

It could be argued that the lamp post (and bit of tree) peeking from behind the umbrella is an unfortunate placement, but having held a thumb in front of it, I'm not sure I'd suggest its removal, it provides a third item (at the correct distance) which balances the composition.

Talking of composition; I would take some off the top and right hand sides though.

John, singing in the rain. Great capture and timing.

    Hi Dave,

She was at a India Festival and a severe thunderstorm passed through, she was trying to entice others to venture out from under the tents and enjoy the rain. I was one of those huddled under the tents trying to keep my gear dry and snapped this image while trying not to disturb my other tent guest. Thanks for commenting.

    John,
Nice candid with lots of emotion. The person in the background to our left of the subject mirrors her and creates a major-minor theme to the shot, which I like very much.
The background to the right is a bit hot, and busy and in my opinion, adds nothing to the shot.
I'd suggest cropping a vertical strip of about 1/3rd to clean up that side.
And I would take the time to remove the pole and tree bit from behind the subject's umbrella.

It is so difficult to get rain to look like rain in a photo; this has worked well.

John, wonderful timing and accuracy. Did she ever coax anyone out?
