Little Ones
It has been a while since I last posted on CiC.
I couldn't resist sharing these little Fairy Wrens. As you may know, these tiny birds like to remain hidden and spend much of their time within the tangled mess of the branches of low bushes. As a result, it can be difficult to capture an unobstructed view of them unless they present themselves momentarily on a protruding branch.
Yesterday, I had the good fortune of capturing both a male and female on the ground. The surrounding grass and clover flowers give a sense of scale and show just how tiny these little gems are.

Re: Little Ones
Very envious of your capture. Every time I have come across them when visiting Australia they seemed to take great delight in frustrating my efforts to photograph them.

Re: Little Ones
Yes they are most beautiful little creatures. I live on Gold Coast Australia. I had many of them in my garden until the Indian Mynah's invaded my garden and little Wrens are gone for ever. By the way, very nice shots

Re: Little Ones
Hi Naturelover, welcome to CiC!
That's a shame that the Fairy Wrens had to relocate, athough you were fortunate to have them in your garden for a while. I have to drive about 15 mins to find them.
Looking forward to viewing your shots.
P.S. I notice that you have not told us your first name. Most folks here like to refer to each other by their name. I don't think it is required, although, you know - when in Rome.......
Again, welcome!

Re: Little Ones
Nice couple of shots, Chris. Other than shorebirds, shots on the ground rarely present birds at their best. But as you pointed out these really give a good sense of scale to these little guys. The shot of the male is awesome. Nicely done.
