    Waterfalls

Dont think I have put these up before ( if I have my apologies to all ) - Brecon beacons waterfall country Pontneddfechan / Ystradfellte, two of the four on the rivers that join forces here

Sgwd yr Eira, I really wanted the sun throughthe spray early morning on this one

    Waterfalls

this is Sgwd Isaf Clwn-gwyn, a lovely cascade, above this is a large wide curtain fall - but this image captures the better view to my mind, I did climb up to the top fall and captured images of it

Mark, 2 nice images. Two my favourite like the way it pulls one's eye in. Looks like a beautiful place.

Nice images Mark, I like that you didn't do the long exposure to soften the flow of the falls.

Nice pictures, they are splashed with light, may be you can try reduce the highlights and darken a bit, but I may be wrong

    re: Waterfalls

    Thanks John,

Cheers Mark, I did do a couple with a longer exposure but liked these more - it was quite contrasty and the longer exposure was pushing it out too far as well as these looked more 'real' to me of the day

Thank you Jean, i was trying to show the day as it was - contrasty - so for me they work as they are - I think you are righ there is merit in adjusting the contrast highlights but maybe another day ( when my PP skills are a bit better ) I dont think there is any 'right' or 'wrong' with your suggestion on them - its more how it feels at the time and the mood the image is trying to create, if that makes sense.

    Re: Waterfalls

These shots very nicely convey the mood, not just the water. As for the amount of contrast, the light on the water itself has relatively little contrast, which is the characteristic that makes it so nice. I agree with Dan that the composition of the second image is superb.
