    Sun, Wind, and Rain

Just a couple of shots from this summer that I got around to processing. As always best viewed in the light box.

    1) The first one is the old lone tree theme with a slight twist. Isolated by lighting rather space. We were anchored in a fjord with fairly high mountains surrounding us. As the sun dropped behind the mountains shadow crept across the valley floor. There was a brief time that tree on the bank near us was lit by the evening sun and the BG was already in shadow.

    2) This was taken from the same anchorage as the shot above. Not quite as sunny. This fjord is long and narrow and is appropriately named "Shoestring Cove".

    3) And finally, on our last trip of the season we spent 36 hours in one anchorage being beaten by 40mph(65kph) wind and pelting rain. I tried to capture the essence of the storm in this shot. The rain shows up but I'm afraid that I missed capturing the wind

The lighting on the lone tree is done really well. Nice series.

All three are really nice but the light in the first one is magical for me.

Agree with all. Number one lighting is magical. Number two is pretty terrific as well - tough sell on windy day though.

The first image is very special because the light has selected one of the trees as the leader of the herd behind; excellent
