Pigface is a creeping plant used to stabilise the dunes. It's flower is loaded with nectar.


Even little butterflies love it.


Common Browns prefer to laze on the beach.


The dragonflies are back.


When the incoming tide floods the mangroves so do the Toad fish - after all, nothing around here will eat them. Fugu anyone?

Many thanks for the helpful C&C. Those little blue butterflies rarely settle and show their inner colours. I must try burst mode.

Neither will they let me get close with the 60mm macro lens so I decided to have a go with the 300mm F4 + 1.4X but that combo has a minimum focus distance of over two metres.
