Photo merge software
Who uses what and why? Did you test multiple programs before choosing?
I ask because I've compared results from LR and Hugin and they are substantially different. Images merged in LR seem to have more distortion in them but I haven't tested with anything that has straight lines in the images for a good comparison.

Re: Photo merge software
I do use the basic merge in LR for quick jobs but tend to prefer the function within PS as you have more control over the distortion control.

Re: Photo merge software
What lenses, are they WA, are you using? I have never used anything other than a 300 f2.8 or a
185 macro, neither of which are known for distortion problems.
The caveat is that I only use Photoshop.
