Although I really liked including the spotlights in the first image of his set, the microphone boom (image left top) distracts my attention away from the subject in this image.

+1 to Richard's comments. That boom is not adding to the image.
I also wonder why you decided to go B&W in this image? With the dark background I would have expected a scene that likely works better in colour.

Lavender lighting is horrid on skin, thus the B&W.
