    A bit tight on the crop at bottom, as a whole not very interesting; if you were to crop each gent you'd have the making of a good sports card.

    Nice shot. Applying a vignette might help with the brightly clothed spectators st top.

    As John mentioned, a pity you didn't get their toes into the frame.

    Maybe I would simply try to selectively tone down the background highlights just a fraction.

    Great colors and background that tells the story of the entire scene. To emphasize the story about the two athletes glaring at each other, consider applying a vignette that darkens everything except those two players.

    That's the idea I had, Maurice.

    However, if I had taken this image and if I wanted to make the final product consistent with the theme, Passion, as indicated by the title of your thread, I would use the version shown below. I would also take the time to desaturate the background area, especially the people in the upper area of the background, just a bit to ensure that the two primary subjects stand out from the rest of the image even more.
