I also prefer the revised mono of "Hotel Becker" - although I just noticed a slither of white triangle in lower left corner that could be cloned over. This is in both mono versions, probably the side effect of the perspective work you did on 16th.
HTH, Dave
right you are!! Thanks for the catch!

10/26--corrected the little white slice Dave noticed!
I think this is much better!

The changes on the wave worked well Judith.

Week 44--Peak in Waterton Lakes---I am posting three photos for critique--the 1st is SOOC--the 2nd is my version after post processing, and the 3rd is another attempt at b & w conversion. Comments are always welcome and helpful to my learning.

The edits are nice, Judith, especially the colour one, but I rather like the original crop, with the foreground tree and the dramatic clouds.

Thanks--I was really ambivalent about the foreground tree.

I'll be different. I prefer the composition of your coloured image - ie without the tree. I like the arrangement of diagonals and triangular shapes. In removing the blue cast, you seem to have sacrificed some of the detail in the cloud, though. Maybe a little contrast from a masked curves layer would help.

The processed image is improved much and much ; B&W is also very nice :)

Have been traveling since Nov 1--Death Valley, Pinnacles, Bristlecone, Clear Lake, Monarchs in Santa Cruz, etc. Lots of photographs to process. Will catch up with my 52 week challenge by the end of the year!

Week 45 Study in Green
I have progressed toward my 2016 goal of becoming more adept at post processing in Photoshop. The impetus of weekly postings has been really helpful, along with your comments and encouragement. I have been away for a month and now will need to catch up!
I continue to work with blending modes. In this case the vibrancy of the scene I saw was lost and I wanted to regain it. Photography from a moving car can do that. C & C always welcome!

Does look better, foliage is so hard to capture as it is.

The processing has certainly improved this shot. It has gone from blah to pow!

Glad it worked for you, too. Some folks may wonder if I can take a good photo SOOC!!
