    Mont Ventoux

Going back from holidays in the Provence we decided to go over the Mont Ventoux. The Mont Ventoux is known from the Tour de France. A lot of bike-riders going to the top. The road is going up 1617m over a distance of 21km.

The Mont Ventoux is also called the "bald mountain"

And off course the photographers, prof, near the top. Watch his set-up. A camera with a 200-400 lens on his "tripod", I don't know how to call it, a second camera on the roadside which he controls with his feet, and a clock for the bike-riders to make it easy to find your self if you want to buy a print.

I show this one for it reminds me on several discussions about balancing your gear. In general I don't thing that's the best, but for this set-up it is. I wondered what the sign "memory set"meant, so I googled. It sets the focal distance in memory so you can go back easy. For what I've seen the lens costs about 7000 euro. The camera can move vertical, horizontal and it can turn in the tripod collar so using portrait and landscape.
I don't know where that tape is for. I didn't ask.
